(Psst – book giveaway details are at the bottom of this post)

I’m going to be hanging round on the Eden Fantasys Community Forum from 7 p.m. EST to 11 p.m. EST for the Naked Reader Book Club discussion. This is a great little event hosted by erotica author Kristina Wright and is open to anybody interested in erotica, or really just hanging out and chatting and having a good time.

Officially our topic is the book Frenzy – 60 Stories Of Sudden Sex, edited by Alison Tyler but you are welcome to come in and ask any questions you like and really no topic is off limits!

In the words of one reviewer Frenzy is “a sleek, glossy paperback book, …contains 60 stories in all – ranging from 8-10 page ‘epics’ to the ultimate in flash-fiction – stories that are just a single paragraph long. The ‘theme’ of Frenzy is the quickie – that rushed, desperate, needful coupling that can occur almost anywhere.”

Even better than a good time and great conversation is that we are giving away prizes for doing it!

There will be gift cards from Eden Fantasys given away, but how many depends on just how lively we make the discussion:

One $25 gift card will be awarded if we reach 50 posts.
Two $25 gift cards will be awarded if we reach 75 posts.
Two $25 gift cards and one $50 gift card if we reach 100 posts.

Also this week – to be eligible to win the prizes you must also either Tweet (use the hashtag #nakedreader) or blog about the upcoming discussion with a link to this forum post OR you can tweet about tomorrow night during the discussion and link directly to the discussion thread… If you choose to blog about the discussion, you need to post a link to the blog post on the announcement forum thread to be officially “entered.”

Stop on by and say hello!

OH WAIT! - Before you go… through a happy shipping accident, I’ve got an extra copy of Frenzy, courtesy of Cleis Press! I asked them very nicely and they said I could give it away to one of my readers! Leave a comment on this post any time between now and Sunday, July18 at 11:59p.m. and you can win a copy of this book!

Would love to get my hands on this read. I have read good things about it and it looks like an amazing read. This could make bath time 10x better. ;)

Please, Sir has not yet been on the list, but keep an eye on the EF forum for announcements – I try to let everybody know what the books will be for the next month a couple weeks out so you can have a chance to order and read it. – August should be announced very shortly in fact. Wow, I can’t believe August is so so close!

Very neat, Laurel! I always feel badly that I’m not read up on the books we have these discussions over. I am glad that they are open to anyone else in my same boat, because the ebbs and flows of the conversations really can be relevant to most anyone. One of these times, though, I really hope I can be prepared for the conversation so that I can actually discuss the books at had.
I’m hoping we will discuss ‘Please, Sir’ sometime this summer (err.. has it already been discussed?). I’ll have that one read, at least! :)
